I recently turned 26. I started thinking about the same things everyone thinks of when they realize "oh crap...I'm grown!" Then I thought of life in a different way. So ponder this theory for a moment:
The Trimesters of Life
1st Trimester - Birth to 25
You go through all of the hard knocks that you have to take as a child, teenager and early adult. it's hard and you don't know what to expect.Growing pains are difficult. Everyone tells you what you should do and you follow along blindly because you don't know your other options. It seems like one day is a step forward and the next a jump back.
2nd Trimester - 26-59
Things start to stabalize. You get a sense of yourself and what you are capable of. You become fat in your wealth, whether monatary or soulful. Life becomes a rhythm and you are able to deal with the struggles of the first trimester much easier.
3rd Trimester - 60 to the Day Before you Die
Life's been long. Your struggles and everyday living start to ware on your fragile body. Aches and pains begin and you don't want realize it because "you're much too young for this." Your wisdom as a full and complete person start to come into play. You try to help the younger generations because you know that your advise will help them. Yet, you also know that they will have to do it their own way as you had to. Try to enjoy the rest of this time...maternity leave is on the way.
Birth - The Day you Die
Everything becomes clear. It hurt...but it was worth it. You experienced everything you needed to experience and now you get the payoff. Congratulations!
